Highlights of being 30

jadiumehardt

31 is almost here.... so I thought I'd sum up my last year of life and what I've experienced.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about this last year, my life has changed on every single level. I got out of a relationship, got a job in Oregon, moved to Oregon, and learned to do life alone.

Starting over was a humbling and also extremely difficult chapter for me. This was my first time I had lived alone without roomies or a significant other. Just Sadie and I. Now, I’m happy as can be that it’s just her and I thriving.

Anyways, it was a very rough year for me. A lot of ups and downs, same as any year, however I’m choosing to look back at the good!

Notable highlights of year 30 (technically 31 bc 0-12 months but whatever)

  1. Started 30 in Cali where so met amazing people and enjoyed old friends as well

  2. Learned to be happy completely alone and be at peace with the quiet

  3. Started paddle boarding

  4. Traveled to KC, hawaii, LV, Cali

  5. Made friends in Oregon, who have become part of my everyday life

  6. Stayed close with my WA friends

  7. Found an amazing dog park that Sadie and I go to every weekend

  8. Tried a-lot of new restaurants in Oregon

  9. Did some dating for a bit

  10. Watched one of my besties get married

  11. Bachelorette party at the lake of the Ozarks

  12. Started blogging

  13. Found a few wines I like

  14. Visited my parents a lot

  15. Went to a few baseball games (Royals, Angels, Mariners)

  16. Started therapy

  17. Consistently going to the gym

  18. Journaling

  19. Found the right anxiety/depression meds with my psychiatrist

  20. Found myself and the confidence I have craved my entirely life.

Honestly, I could go on but the fact of the matter is no matter how low a year may seem there are highlights and I choose to look at life as a glass half full. Although I have had some heartbreak, regrets, depression, etc.. it was an over all great year of life and I plan to make 31 the best one yet. I've never been happier with myself. Peace is the best aging defense. I feel like I'm aging with beauty and grace. Every new year feels like a blessing in a sense and I can't wait to see what life brings me next.

Coming soon: Trip to KC and my 2 week trip to Italy and Greece/Cruise to the Greek Islands

Life is amazing and I plan to keep living it to the fullest. 👏🏼

The cracks scattered throughout me Give the ability to see right through me My soul is amber Beautiful, curious, ominous Pain seeps...

About Me

Hi! Whatever brought you here I deeply appreciate the support. My name is Jadium! I started this blog originally because I was traveling non stop and I love to tell stories about my adventures in my own voice. I spend most of my time like any other human, working away. I am a MOHS and Histology tech. I love what I do, my current goal is to become ASCP certified so I can work anywhere in the country. I love Coffee, Taylor Swift, Rap music, spontaneous trips, planned trips, and most of all my doggo Sadie girl. Rescuing her changed my world for the better.
